On this project we’re building an outdoor covered awning and fireplace. The client has a beautiful house in the Queen Anne neighborhood. They wanted to be able to spend more time outdoors in the colder months of the year.
Using an architect we designed a structure that kept with the Queen Anne style of this beautiful home. Tremendous care was taken and custom shaping all of the exposed framing and trim components.
We used tempered glass for the roof to make it waterproof while allowing the most amount of light to shine through.
The outside fireplace puts out an amazing amount of heat. We also installed two infrared heaters that combined with the fireplace provide a comfortable outdoor living room all year round.
As a finishing touch we installed gas lamps on either side of the television. The ambiance provided by the fireplace and the gas lamps is perfect for relaxing or entertaining outdoors.
This once underused space is now one of the best features of this beautiful home.
